Generally what we call if we are working in ibm as a sd consultant ? what partner it is  ?

Dear Venu,

If you have problem you can choose support partner, Service partner mean your work is good but you need upgrade or something like that.

About software solution, during installation or migrate or any thing belong to your work environment and you need specific update or software component you need to download.

This is as I understand it:

There are basically 3 broad categories namely:

1) Build and Develop SAP Solution ( This is for companies whose development software run on SAP as a bolt on feature like Vistex, Redwood, etc

               * Here you can become a channel partner, oem partner, mobile partner, solution and 

                  tech partner, hana partner

2) Sell SAP Solution ( They re-sell SAP and develop and implement solution

               * here also you will have channel partners, re-seller partner, etc, etc

3) Service and Implement SAP Solutions ( They provide services, support and implementation on existing ERPs)

                * here you will have service partners, language partners, outsourcing and cloud service

Dear Venu,

There are many types of Partnership. Below I list some of them along with a short explanation:

1- Channel Partner - The Partner that sells the SAP Licenses to an end customer - This Partner can also sell the maintenance of the licenses (if they are PCoE certified).

2- Services Partner - Partner that does not sell licenses, but implement it to an end customer. This partners can also provide consultancy to the customer.

3- SSTP (Software Solution & Technology Partner) - This Partner buys "open licenses" from SAP, develop on them, and then sell it to the final customer.

4 - OEM (Original Equiment Manufacturer) - Partner that buys a product from SAP, and use it as part of a solution package along with other products. EG: ATM Machines run a software built out of many different software developer companies - this is OEM.

5 - Mcaas (Managed Cloud as a Service) - Partner that buys licenses from SAP, and creates subscription-based solutions hosted on their own private cloud.
