Dears;
How can i do the overtime and absence recording in positive time management automatically.
For Example,
If the EE planned working time From 09:00 to 17:00 "8 Hours" and the actual working time for the from 09:00 to 20:00 "11 Hours" how can i make the system to record 3 hours over time from 17:00 to 20:00 in IT2005 automatic and the same case if i want to record late or absence in IT2001
Best Regards,
Mohamed Gomaa
HI Mohamed,
As Harish said, you need not to maintain infotype 2005 to record over time.
Schema will calculate and generate Time types.
As this is +ve you have to maintain WT in T510S accordingly.
You may have doubt that how can i get over time details for the employee as a report?
PT_BAL00 will generate all daily/Cumulative balances and WT types for all related for a period.
And, you cannot auto generate Absence 2001 in infotype, as we have types of absences paid/unpaid, until and unless you record in system.
This may help you,
Thank you,
Srinivas.

There is no need to record overtime in IT 2005 automatically
The Time EValuation schema itself will analyse the actual times, compare it with the planned times and determine Overtime - you can make the schema generate an appropriate wagetype for compensating Overtime by configuring T510S.
STandard Schema TM00 has lots of sample rules for determining overtime, you may need some custom PCRs depending on your customers requirement
Regarding automatic absence recording in IT 2001 for late coming/early leaving etc - well, again, that cannot happen automatically unless you have a custom function or something - but you can make Time Evaluation generate exception emssages for all these cases which a Time Administrator can review and create absences using Time Managers Workplace/Fast Entry or simple Pa30/61 depening on the number of records that needs to be processed on a daily basis.

In T510S you will specify a Wagetype That will be picked up based on Processing Type, and various other parameters such as day of the week, PH class etc.
The characteristics of the wagetype are defined in Payroll configuration - the rate is 1.5 or 2, based on a suitable valuation basis /001 for example
Time EValuation will store the number of Overtime Hours with a suiatble processing type Normally "M" and Table T510S will point to the correct wagetype based on whether it is a working day or a public holiday
Look into the sample entries provided by SAP to understand how the table t510s is configured.
Hope this helps.
Hi Harish,
My client have similar scenario but it requires approval therefore I having few doubts on the solution you have proposed
DWS - General Shift - 08:00 - 17:00 - 1 Hrs, Break 1 Hrs from 12:00 - 13:00
The reason my client not opting for point 1 because an employee late stay will recorded in the Table TEVEN from Time Machine and time evaluation will be determine OT hours in ZL table.
Instead my client requires only approved time to be recorded in Infotype and paid simultaneously actual working hours of an employee can be
recorded in table TEVEN / IT2011 for record purpose but not paid.
Kindly guide me on this scenario.
Regards,
Ram
Hi Ram,
First of all I recommend to open a new discussion for your issue to be able to manage it
For absence we call it Automatic Absence Generation. I hope to find a time to write a document about this issue but until that time you can find my replies for related issues at http://scn.sap.com/thread/3381869 and http://scn.sap.com/message/14372891#14372891
For overtime you should use IT2007 not IT2005 because IT2005 is out of date. Have look my explanation at http://scn.sap.com/message/14056988#14056988
Cheers,
Omid
