I have front-end printing set up for webgui, according to the instructions in OSS note 771683. Essentially you print to a PDF file which appears in a pop-up window, from where you can save or print as you would with and other PDF file displayed in a web browser window. This doesn't appear to work from within Personas, though. A spool request is created, and in SP01 it looks like the print was successful, but no pop-up window appears with the PDF file in it. I can't see any Silverlight settings related to blocking pop-up windows - have I missed something there?
Is there a way of getting front end printing, via PDF, working from Personas?
Steve.
Hello steve,
Pls try to apply the note 1556590.
Hope this helps on your query.

Thanks. Unfortunately that note is already in my system, and as I said this does already work correctly from webgui. It just doesn't work from Personas. I'm guessing there's something in Silverlight stopping the pop-up window, but I haven't found a way of controlling that.
Not being able to print is going to cause us a bit of a problem...

Yes, printing works OK now for me. You have quite an old version of Personas installed. I would suggest installing the latest (SP04) and any subsequent notes, and install the latest kernel patch, and try again.
Things are changing quite quickly with Personas so it is always wise to first get up to date with support packs, notes and kernel updates if you have problems.
Steve.
Expecting the same. Thanks for your reply Steve Rumsby
