Controlling Double addition of same material in BOM

Dear SAP Fellows,

Can any one explain that how to control doundle additon of same material in BOM. Scenario is that in our company more than 300 material add in BOM. Some time single material added twice in same material BOM.Due to this we face error of excess consumption and costing. Can any onw tell me how to control it. Thanks
