Issue in Material shortage quantity for production order

Dear all,

                    I require an report for "Material Shortage list" for Production orders. We are presntly using the T-Code - "CO24", it is not satisfying our requirements.

My requirement is

                               BOM structure is

                                                      Header Material - A and its component is B and BOM ratio is 1:1

The stock of the component B is zero and if i create an 1st production order for A - 30 Ea, my shortage qty of component B is 30 Ea. After the creation and release of production order and If i do the GR for the component B for 15 Ea. Still the shortage quantity of the component B is showing as 30 Ea in CO24. My present stock is not getting considered in this report. Even if i issue the partial quantity of 15 Ea to the production order. Still the shortage quantity in CO24 is showing as 30 Ea only.

             I require the system to check the present stock of the material and calculate the shortage quantity dynamically. Is there any standard report in SAP?????  (Or) kindly provide the table for finding out the shortage quantity for the production order, so we can develop any customized reports.

Please provide the solution

Hi Balakrishnan,

   Please check com B 15 quantity is available at which storage location after GR. As in production order, component overview, there is also issue storage location. If those storage locations are differenent, that could be a cause for not considering in CO24 missing part list.

Balakrishnan, The shortage quantity gets updated after every availability check run. So how about executing an availability check run as and when required instead of spending time on a customized report?

Dear Bala,

Check your checking group & checking rule , setting maintained in material master .

then check in COOIS , components from drop down ,

then check CO24 ,

Hi,

First of all check the checking group maintained in MRP - 3 view of the material master and then check  OPJJ settings with combination of your checking group and checking rule.

In OPJJ  Include reservation indicator must be ticked on.

Then try CO24.

Hi,

It can be achieved by -

RESB - Component's required qty. with production order, and

MARD - Current stock against each component

You can use MAKT for Material description.

Now can calculate components req. qty - current stock = total required stock
