GRAC_SPM is not accessible when any of the satelite systems is hung

Hi all,

We are using GRC 10.0  and with GRAC_SPM all FF id's are configured for all prod satelite systems.

When any of the satelite system app server is hung or not responding the  GRAC_SPM is also getting hung , we checked the satelite system and observe " Remote functional call error" in st22.

GRC is making a rfc to check the users logged in all app servers of all satelite systems  to check  and flag if any FF id is already in use by any user and   if any of the app server is hung it not able to make a call to that for the user log info and getting stuck and after some time getting error.

Ex: GRC system is xg1 and satelite system is xr1 & xw1 when u  access GRAC_SPM in xg1  it will check  all the satelite systems xr1 & xw1 , if any apps of xr1 is hung the GRAC_SPM is also getting hung....

GRC is checking for the logged users to flag and check the already existing FF id is being used , there must be a good way to check these instaed of logged in to each app server or maming a RFC call to each app for loggeed user data...

please advice is anybody have any other way to configure to access FF id in GRC.

Hi Subhash,

I know this is very old post but i am facing similar issue where if any satellite system is down user is not able to execute GRAC_SPM and because of this they can't use FF ID for other system as well.

I believe we must have some solution for this as system should not behave like that.

Hi Anuj,

We have faced same  issue .

After implementing following SAP note,issue is resolved.

1923184 - SLG1 wrong message: Same User cannot be firefighter and ffid

Symptom

1. SLG1 wrong message: Same User cannot be firefighter and ffid

2. Short Dump is observed while firefighter user tries to login to plugin system using EAM launch pad if target system is down or connector is not working
