Hi Expert

I am unable to print through specific printer RICOH Aficio MP C30000 PCL 5c. This printer is mapped on my print server and when i send a test page from my OS it prints successfully. But when a send a printing request to the same printer by SAP it does not print even though the status in SP01 is comp.

I have configured this printer in SAP using the Direct operating system Call.

Please help !!!!

Thanks!!!

SG

HI All,

@Billy : Yes this is a Windows 2008 R2 server. I have no idea of SAPSprint but is this really required here as the print is going to other printers

We dont want to make it as default printer and use it as a printer with Access method C.

The output queue in SP01 says successful but no print on server. The server logs says

"You do not have privilege to use this function. This job has been cancelled."

Do i need to install the drivers or what i  have to do.

Thanks!!!!

SAPSprint is software that is installed to Print server(s) and allows you to use method S to send jobs to the print server, to my knowledge SAPSprint is for Windows.

If printers aren't on the Windows 2008 R2 server, then this isn't needed information.

Also I apologize for the earlier post the link didn't save in my post:  http://scn.sap.com/community/output-management/blog/2013/06/22/leverage-a-windows-print-server

Hi Saurabh,

Could you change the printer in SAP to Frontend printing and check the results.

Note: Please map the printer on your desktop/laptop and make it default.

Hope this helps.

Is this a Windows print server?  And if so have you installed SAPSprint?

You may also find the following useful if it is a Windows print server.
