Hi,

Can anyone point me to where it would find the following for a Unix (AIX) installation?  The installation folder structure is completely different.

2. Open the Enterprise installation folder and navigate to SetUp\Package\...

3. Open the audit_bi.cab file using any unzip utility.

4. Extract the following files:

Jim,

There is also another version you can also download the BOE XI 3.1 w/SP5 Audit ZIP for below link  This a tuned version of the Audit UNV with some WebI reports as well.

The download link takes you to XI 3.1 & BI 4.1 Audit

Thanks very much for the info Ajay but the Zip file is only useful for SQL Server and Oracle databases. I was looking for AIX / UDB.

I have since worked around the issue and modified the Universe and a number of canned reports to work with the latest (well, for XI 3.1) Audit database.

How to manually upload Activity Universe :

1. If the older Auditing reports are present in CMC/Infoview, delete the folder.

2. Open the Enterprise installation folder and navigate to SetUp\Package\...

3. Open the audit_bi.cab file using any unzip utility.

4. Extract the following files:

(a)For Auditing Universe, depending on the type of database server, extract auditing_db_DatabaseName.biar.EC96EADD_9CD7_439E_BA9A_B0C1066E411E.

    (b)For Auditing reports, extract auditing_rpt_enbiar.EC96EADD_9CD7_439E_BA9A_B0C1066E411E.

5. From both the file, remove the random extension after '.biar' in the filename.

6. Run the Import Wizard to extract the Universe to the Enterprise from first file.

7. Open the Universe Designer and Import the "Activity" Universe to local disk.

8. Open the Universe connection parameter and make the appropriate connection to the Auditing database.

9. Save the Universe and Export it back to the Enterprise.

10. Run the Import Wizard again to import the preconfigured sample reports from the second file. Make sure not to overwrite existing Universe.

11. If the Universe is replaced, then we need to perform Step 6 through Step 8 once again.

12. Login to the Infoview or Central Management Console (CMC) to run the reports.

Hi, this was very usefull.

I had the universe connected to Sqlserver, and I have to migrate to oracle.

Works fine.

Best Regards

I guess you might have multiple env for BO (Dev, Test, PROD). You can copy the audit universe from other env using import wizard.

None of them work properly, the integrity check comes up with all kinds of errors and the data I am pulling from WEBI doesn't make sense. I was looking for an updated one, I have seen in other forums where people have gotten one from SAP Support. Thanks.

Hi Jennifer,

Have you configured the Auditing properly in your current environment at all the below levels

  • Database
  • CMC
  • Individual Servers
