Error on deployment of PDK using SDM

Hi,

I got this error during the deployment of the PDK:

Starting Deployment of com.sap.pct.pdk

Aborted: development component 'com.sap.pct.pdk'/'sap.com'/'SAP AG'/'

Caught exception during module deployment from SAP J2EE Engine's deploy service:

java.rmi.RemoteException: Error occurred while updating stand-alone module file

com.sap.pct.pdk.epa. Reason: none of the available containers recognizes it.

Deployment of com.sap.pct.pdk finished with Error (Duration 4146 ms)

I have install the slim version of netweaver.

Does anyone can tell me how to solve this problem?

Hi Paulo,

which PDK are you trying to install???

AFAIK Portal Development Kit 6.0 SP12 (aka. "Developer Cockpit") will not work with the slim version of NetWeaver and nor will Portal Development Kit 6.0 SP2.

You will need this download ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sdn/devkits/PDK/pdk60_90.zip (which unfortunatly is not on the SDN Download Page ;-(

The deployment has to be in Sap portal installation.

The slim version that i installed doesn't have the SAP Portal. I think that doesn't help in the deployement of the PDK. Is it possible to do that deployement without the Portal?

Hi,

I was trying to use the AFAIK Portal Development Kit 6.0 SP12.

I downloaded the file ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sdn/devkits/PDK/pdk60_90.zip and i started from the beginning.

Now I’m getting the error:

Target system of development component 'com.sap.pct.pdk.pars'/'sap.com'/'SAP AG'/'630.20041201144828.0000' reported the following error:

com.sap.sdm.apiint.serverext.servertype.deployment.DeploymentActionException: The substitution of deployment parameter variables failed.The following variables could not be substituted because they are not known by the SDM-Repository:com.sap.portal.deploy.pcd To fix this problem go to the SDM-Repository-View of the SDM GUI and define substitution values for these variables or correct the type information.

I tried to define the variable but I don’t know the value that the variable should have ...
