Communication Channel File/ftp Adapter error: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 Unexpected reply code The system cannot find the file specified.

Hi,

I got an error "com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 Unexpected reply code The system cannot find the file specified." on the PI 7.31 sender adapter FILE/ftp inbound (Proccess .xml files). After check a lot of steps like server access to FTP, antivirus, roles to the directory, configuration of the channel.

The problem was on the file name, the configuration of the field file name is "*.xml" to get all .xml files.

But some files was showing the error due some special character like "é,ô,õ,ã,ç..." in the name.

I saw a SAP note 821267 that as some configuration on the  SAP J2EE Config Tool.

But I'd like to know if there are others solutions (If you dont have access to the SAP J2EE Config Tool on the server) to configure directly in the communication channel to get this files with special character on name processed.

Could you please send me some possible solutions?

Hi Halsen,

Have you think about to rename first all the files in the directory and to avoid the problem?. You could rename them before they will be taken, check the Run Operating System Command Before/After Message Processing section in the file/ftp adapter.

Thanks for your help, thats was the solution. To get easier to rename th files we use a batch file.
