SAP PI 7.4 migration to HANA - best practice?

Hi Experts,

We are on PI 7.4 dual stack with all interfaces converted to ICO's when upgrading last time from Xi 7.3 to Pi 7.4.

We need to migrate our PI database to HANA and as part of the migration strategy,we are thinking about the following 2 approaches:

1.Upgrade to latest SP(NW 7.5 from NW 7.4) on existing PI system, split the stacks to keep only JAVA stack and then migrate to HANA

. 2.Build a new system with Nw 7.5 JAVA ONLY on HANA db and then move all interfaces to teh new system.

Now the questions we have:

1.In either of these 2 approaches, the SID and server name changes.Considering this what changes do I need to do to the existing ICO's after migration?

2.If we follow the 2nd approach(safe one in case we need to switch back to old system),how do we migrate the ICO's from old system to new one?

3.SAP migration path for PI is to PO and we do intend to upgrade to PO ONLY for EDI capabilities as we currently use 3rd party system with PI for our EDI integration.Considering this, what would be the best approach for migrating our PI system to HANA? Is it OK to migrate our PI system to HANA and then upgarde to PO OR upgrade to PO and then migrate to HANA? We also have deadline in terms of migrating to HANA

4.With the HANA migration, since we will be having only JAVA stack what are the options for doing transports? Currently in our existing PI 7.4 dual stack we are using the CTS method for doing transports.

Thanks.

SR.
