Can't connect to a file DSN

When I try to set up and ODBC connection from Crystal reports 2016 by selecting a file DSN I created in MS Access 2016 I get the following error message:

Sap Crystal Reports Failed to open the connection. Details: IM002:[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified.

Both applications are 32bit. I have done this successfully before with earlier versions of both softwares.

Any direction on this would be appreciated.

According to Supported Platforms document MS Access 2016 is supported for ODBC connection only on SP 03 and higher. See below:

Make sure the version number of your CR 2016 designer is 14.2.3... or higher

Thanks! That was very helpful. I was running SP 02 and installed SP 03 and 3 related patches to make it work.

Also had to install MS Access Data base engine 2010. Apparently Access 2016 package doesn't include an ODBC driver for itself.
