Material split valuation

I would like to move a material in some cases as standard price, and in other cases as moving average price in the same plant. Can this be achieved using the material split valuation?.

Best Regards

    no and yes.

No you can not decide per movement if you this movement is standard price valuated or moving average price valuated.

Split valuation is to evaluate one part of the total stock different from another part. Maybe because one part is own manufactured and the other part is bought. Maybe because one is from China and the other from USA. Maybe because one is in spec and the other other of spec.

This is done by adding valuation type views to the material master and here you can decide what price control is used.

The stock is technically managed in batches, if you use real batch management then the valuation type is just a field in your batch record. If you do not use batch management then you get a batch with the valuation type itself as batch number.

So it is always the portion of stock which decides if the movement is at standard price or with moving average.
