Hi,
Due to some issues, I have to rename 2 datafile.
The rename was successful, but when I check DB02, it shows junk characters in one of the datafile.
I checked alert log, but could not see no error in the same.
Also, at file system level, it looks ok.
Kindly look into the same and guide me on the same.
Regards,
Harikrishna
Hello
I don't think the above links to rename the datafile can do any help now as he has already renamed the datafiles.
Secondly the problem is with the strange characters in the datafile names.
I suggest you to query the datafiles from the SQL level and see whether those characters appear there.
If not, also consider what Andrea suggested you. You need to refresh the DB02 to get the data updated.

Hi Reagan,
I have seen from the SQL prompt using display dba_data_files, I could not see the junk characters, but I think there was some blank space (lot space vacant between that datafile and the other).
I have refreshed DB02 many times, but still the same.
Hi Mahipal,
I checked in brtools, I could not see any junk characters or any blank space (normal like any other datafile).

Harikrishna
