Appreciate your thought.

I have insisted to open thread in appropriate space for many threads. But, sometimes it can't be avoided by having cross threads.

In PLM space, you can find threads related to PM, QM, etc., as well. So, its authors responsibility to find suitable space to open their thread.

Hi Mehboob,

Pls Extend the material to desired plant whether you have stock in that plant or not.

Thanks

By default, Issuing Plant will be Maintenance Planning Plant. If you want to have different plant as issue plant, you can change the issue plant & reservation can be created.

Even in Task list, you can assign the material with different plant so that that particular component can be issued from that plant.

For example, Equipment is being located in Plant A. So equipment master, BoM & Task list will be created against Plant A. But one of the spares will be consumed from Plant B. In this case, that material would have been created for Plant B only in MM01 & it would not have been extended to Plant A. In that case, you can use that Plant B material for Plant A equipment.

Plant will come from the Material which you selected.

In Material Selection, give plant from which you want to consume, so that based on the material selection, plant will get updated.

You can't edit the plant once after material selection in components overview.

Hi Maheswaran,

Let me make the requirment more clear,

1. General task list is created for Planning Plant : 1001

2. Material is maintained & stocked in Plant : 1004

Unable to assign the material of Plant 1004. Giving the Error Message "Material XXXXXXX is not maintained in Plant 1001.

I Can't extend this material to Plant 1001. Because stock is maintained in Plant 1004. There is not stock in Plant 1001

Requirement is to create Material reservation in Plant 1004 but not to Plant 1001

I created task list for first plant & assigned the material from 2nd plant. I haven't received any message for the above mentioned error.

Please post the error message number with diagnosis.
