Job logs - to be kept longer RSBTCDEL

Dear all,

I would like to keep the logs on my system for more than 14 days ( I think the standard keeping is just 14 day according to RSBTCDEL report ).

I need to keep the logs for 30 days, so I think there is a possibility to modify some parameter or report.

Hello Jordan Tander,

    Just create a new variant to the programRSBTCDEL in SE38 and give the value what you want,Then assign and schedule the job periodically by using newly created variant in Sm36. delete the older one which was running.

The variant SAP&001 which is there for the report RSBTCDEL is created by SAP so we cant edit this variant. Create a  new one and schedule.

Hi Jordan

First delete the currently running background job.

Next go to se38 and run rsbtcdel2 set the period you want for finished,canceled,released,scheduled jobs, uncheck the check box for test run ,execute that in background and in coming screen you mention the periodicity and time to execute that job.

Dear All,

As mentioned above, While executing (RSBTCDEL2) I can NOT see any record I have executed (RSBTCDEL), but the Job still running.

Please help, my problem is bit different.

I wanted to Stop/Cancel running background Job named (SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP) which Active/running for last 7 days.

I have executed (RSBTCDEL) selected only this Job name and also typed "X" - in (Delete with force mode). But after executing I got following message -

RSBTCDEL Of the 2 jobs selected, 2 were not deleted.

The background Job (SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP) still running.

First the RSBTCDEL has been updated so you should be using RSBTCDEL2 which bring a bit more funtionallity. Second, you just need to change the variant of the job so it adjust to the criteria that you are seeking.
