CSKB- Order BOM creation

Hi PP experts,

To create/save Order BOM in CSKB traxn, is it mandatory to choose 'Freeze BOM Single Level " or "Freeze BOM Multi level BOM"( Right click on Header). Save icon on menu is 'Grey' out.

Is there any way to save traxn without using above option.

yes.In order to change order bom,you have to freeze BOM first..or you can create a new order bom without freeze it..

if you want to save order bom without change and you are using VC,you can tick the option in configuration profile..

If you are not using VC, there is no Configuration Profile , hence Order BOM cannot be saved in background.

How can i create ORder BOM using CSKB( CS61 is only single level , hence CSKB for Multilevel)  without freezing?

More basic question , is there 'Freezed Order BOM "? , if so , which indicator in STPO table it represent?

When you fix a bill of material, the system creates an order-specific copy of the material BOM. In other words, it generates an order BOM from a material BOM. If you fix a BOM in the order browser, the system saves the data in the same way as for fixing a result-orientated order BOM in the variant configuration.

You fix	The system creates an order BOM that contains the following components:
A non-configurable material BOM	The same components as the material BOM
A configurable material BOM	All non-variable parts (components without object dependencies) The variable parts (components with object dependencies), which the system selected as a result of the values assigned to the characteristics.

You can fix a bill of material on a single-level or on multiple levels. When you fix a bill of material on a single-level, the system creates just the one order BOM.

When you fix a bill of material on multiple-levels, the system generates order-specific copies for all subordinate material BOMs as well. The BOM, with which you trigger the multi-level fix, has to be a material BOM. The system creates order BOMs for all material BOMs of the subtree. If a subordinate assembly already has an order BOM the system leaves it as it is. If however, there are still material BOMs under such an order BOM, these are fixed.

I am not able to login SAP,so i cann't tell which field in SAP table..

CSKB is more for non VC material..

Hi,

is there a way in CSKB to save Order BOM without having to use option"'Freeze BOM Single Level"/ 'Freeze BOM MultilLevel.

if not, these options are just another name of "Save" functions.

Can anyone confirm this?

In other words,if you want to created a order bom,first step is to fix it.second:make change to the current bom..

If you didn't fix it,SAP won't allow you to make change to the BOM..
