Asking for Key Code in Trial Version ?

Dear All,

I have recently download SAP Lumira 30 Days Trial Version.

After successfully installation, when I start SAP Lumira, it is asking for Key Code, I do not receive any key code in my mail account.

I think if we are using 30 days trial version then it will not ask any key for at least 30 days.

Please guide me for the same.

Also informing that,

Earlier I have installed SAP Visual Intelligence, before installing SAP Lumira I have uninstalled SAP VI.

Need your help.

Also request to moderators to consider this discussion, so that if key code is required then they will provide me.

Thanks & Regards.

It is more than a month and still not getting any solution not me only, here in thread many of us are facing same problem.

suggestions from Om,

Hi Harshil,Hi Lutz

Older license persists and there is no way we can extend trial license after expiry as Clarissa also explained. If you want to try SAP Lumira then,

Please clear following after uninstallation :

1. sapvi and .sapvi folders

2.application folder from install location.

install the latest Lumira build.you will get trial license of 30 day's as you were expecting.it will not interfere with older trial key.

Revert, if still you have issues.

Regards,

Om

not works.

Please any of us gets a solution then post it here.

Thanks & Regards.

Hi Harshil,

We are working on it.It is very specific to the system environment which was not seen during internal testing .We have not yet got all the input to investigate. If you can help with the inputs i had asked you via mail, we can sped up the process.

It is possible to enter Key code of SAP Lumira Personal Edition on Windows 7 64 bits but it is not easy.

First you have to activate the 'Administrator' account of your system.

To do this, go to Config Panel, Administration tools, Computer Management, Users.

Here you activate the 'Administrator' account and you define a password.

After that, windows key + R (or Execute command from Start menu)

Type 'CMD' to run the Windows Shell.

Go to the directory where you install SAP Lumira. In my case it was :

cd "C:\Program Files\SAP Lumira\Desktop"

And run the command :

runas /user:Administrator SAPLumira.exe

SAP Lumira should execute and the Enter Key Code button is not greyed !

Enter the key code.

Close SAP Lumira. Close the Shell command window.

You can now run SAP Lumira from your 'normal user' !!!

Have fun.

Hi Guillaume

i tried it immediatly (thank you for your explanations).

Now the following situation: i have administrator-rights on my windowsprofil. So i think, this is enough? I started the cmd and "runas" with Domain  "/user:USZ\nelu" instead of "/user:nelu"

(nelu = username, USZ = domain). Without domain there was an error (unknown user or password incorrect).

Maybe is this the problem? In the next step i do discuss with our pc-support about a possibility to run as administrator for pc (without domain) - can you check if this a difference if i use a pc-admin-account or a admin-account with domain-profil?

Thank you

Lutz

Unfortunately you really have to use the 'Administrator' account and not another one.

I tried to execute the program with my normal user with administrator rights too and it does not succeed.

Hope this helps.

Thank you -> it works!

My user with admin-rights didnt work.

The user with admin-rights of my collegue from software support was able to start Lumira with active Keycode-button. So there are different admin-profiles in our companie. It's the first time that my admin-rights are not good.

Thank you and now i can have fun with Lumira

Dear All,

Facing same problem as harshil is currently facing.

I have uninstall and SAP Visual Intelligence Trail Version and also delete SAP Visual Intelligence foler from Program Files.

Then I install SAP Lumira.

But Continue button is disabled. I have downloaded Lumira by today itself. Then how my trial version can be expired ? ?

Hi,

you need to remove sapvi and .sapvi also which i have mentioned apart from installation folder.

Om

Hi

i also tried to deinstall and delete all the mentioned folder and it doesn't help. .

maybe it is helpful: i tried to install the 32B version on winXP and there i can insert the keycode.

it is not possible to insert the keycode for the 64b version on win7.

so for me it seem to be a problem with the latest 64B version, maybe not only with the trailversion .

in addition: i made an oss message. i inform you if there are some results.

kindly regards,

lutz

Deleting some of the internal folders must have resolved the issue. However, I am unsure why this is happening. Do you want to do a connect call Lutz?

if so, please send me a direct email: manikandan.srinivasan@sap.com

Others, please feel free to send me a note.

Hi Om

thank you for your information.

My problem is that i purchased a lumira license and i got a software download with my purchase.

your information was helpful -> after the Uninstallation from the sapvi*-Folder and after newinstallation i can now use the Lumira trial version but the button for inserting the productkey is disabled. The only information ist "you're not allowed to enter a Key code. Please contact your Administrator" but i run the programm "as administrator".

I hope this is the right place to discuss this issue - in all communications there is in case of problems only a link to sdn.

Thank you

Lutz

hi Om, it may well be that Erwin doesn't have a support contract with access to SMP because he is an e-store customer. Regards, H

Hi Om,

Like Henry already mentioned I am an e-store customer.  I personal bought the version so I don't see how I can create an oss message.  How should I continue to solve my problem ?

Hi Erwin,

To recap, how's it looking after doing Om's steps?

After un-installation, please delete the following directories:

  1. License Key folder: C:\Users\Public\sapvi
  2. User Preferences folder: C:\Users\<user>\.sapvi
  3. Application folder: C:\Program Files\SAP Visual Intelligence

Then re-install.. Results?  (please add a screenshot)

I have followed the steps suggested by you, but still "Continue" button is disabled.

For trial versions you should see a button to "Continue"   - so you do not need to enter the key code

Hi Harshil,

if you already had a trial version that's being recognized, since besides the name change it is still the same product. So you would need to go ahead and purchase the product. There's no extension of the trial.

Clarissa is right - sounds like you need to buy the product and the trial has expired

Hallo Henry

i have a similar issue.

i've bought an personal license an downloaded and installed the 64bit version. Now after starting lumira there ist only the message, that my testlizenz is older than 30days and there is only the "beenden"-button activ. The button to insert the keycode is inaktiv and so i can nothing do...

So i have the feeling it depends on the latest installing program for sap lumira.

So it would be very fine, if there is an quick solution..

Thanks

Hi Henry

can you give a statement about this issue?

I have the real problem, that i bought software from sap and now i couldn't use it on my PC.

Just i paid for something and cant use it - this is not good!

And in addition I have no other product support...

It seems that there two possibilities for the disfunction.

First the downloaded installation is not correct and disabled the button for the registrationcode or there is a conflict with the trailversion and the registry for the trail solution.

Can you motivate the developer to find a quick solution? Or is there another possibility to post the problem?

Thank you

Lutz

If you have bought licenses, then open an OSS message.

SCN is not a support forum.
