ESS - Employee cannot enter end date for vacation

Hello Guys,

I have this strange situation where one employee in the company cannot enter end date in ESS while requesting vacation. The end date also defaults to todays date - and i see this while trying to submit the request. The end date field is actually hidden.

No other employee with her ESG or PSG has this issue.

I also have cross verified by having her log on from another computer and have someone logon in her computer.

Compatibility view mode on/off tried

PTARQ for the PERNR checked

IE Cache cleared

She is on the same web browser and O/S as many other employees.

I just could not nail down to whats causing this issue.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Ravi,

Did you check user authorizations? Try activating the Authorization trace for the user to check for any missing authorizations.

Thanks for the response - Checked all of it - The user authorization has not changed in a few years now - but all of a sudden this issue has cropped up.

Hi Ravi,

Try deleting the user personalization settings on portal. You can ask your portal consultant to delete the user's personalization settings from Admin page.

Thanks - I don't need to do that.

Apparently in the portal screen users can hide fields by right clicking - which the user in my case did un intentionally. I was able to reverse the hide.

HI Ravi.

Im not clear what is your issue on leave request?  can not enter end date in ESS...you mean Enda date field is not available or end date is giving todays date as default date?

If the field is not available? it should have been hide for that employee only.. as that employee to log into his leave reguest via ESS and right click in the screen near to estart date or anythink and click on user setting-- Hide or Unhide fields ..

then if any fields hide for that employee it will be unhide.

If its giving default value, then you can midify the default value what getting in the ESS portal via  SM30 table V_PTARQ_TCONSTR
