Time limit for moderation

Sir

I would like to ask that what is thee time limit for moderators to approve/reject an answer? As I have posted few answers 4-5 days back which are still pending with moderators. The person who asks the question desperately waits for the solution/suggestion and when he do not get any solution/suggestion gets disheartened.

So my humble request is to fix up some time limit for moderation.

Sincere regards

RS

Typically this should be done within 24 hours and preferably in under 12 hours. What SCN Space are these posts in?

I'll see what I can do - I do not have rights to that SCN Space, so I will not be able to Moderate it. Stand by...

Your content will be reviewed by an SCN moderator before being posted.

The SCN moderators, who are volunteers, work around the clock to review and approve legitimate content. There's no commitment to how long this takes but it will be done in a timely manner across the 400+ SCN spaces.  Thank you for your understanding and patience.

New SCN members are fully moderated until they complete some beginner missions to prove their intent: this is to prevent electronic spam. Additional actions may trigger moderation, regardless of who the user is.

Hi Jason,

I do understand and respect the policy of SCN to review the content for new users before that is being published. Since the time taken by the moderators is not definite and is dependent on time, resource availability and work load, can we have a place where a user can track the details of his/her post which is in queue for moderation. This is just a suggestion from my end.

For a new user, it might be a turn off to wait for indefinite time. With the tracking facility in place, a user can at least be assured and updated about the status whenever he/she wants to know. This will also increase the usability of SCN and communication won't be single ended. Lastly, then we won't have any questions posted on SCN asking for "Moderation policy or the time needed".

Thanks,

Arti.

Thanks for your feedback. Please see these two items concerning the pre-moderation that was activated and would be more appropriate for your feedback.  http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-45644 http://scn.sap.com/community/about/blog/2013/07/01/pre-moderation-on-scn
