We have a scenario wherein we need to create a wage type in IT0008 and percentage (unit and number) to be maintained by the user in IT0008 then that wage type to be calculated based basic pay

Hi Rajendra,
I think you want to create wage type (Example HRA) which is calculated on the Percentage of Basic Pay.
For that 1) Create a wage type as HRA in OH11.
2) Maintain the Characteristic of that wage type in Table V_T511
a) If the wage type is addition wage type click on Add to total.
b) The in the Amount field select - (minus) which means not necessary.
c) In the Unit field give +(Plus) which means mandatory.
d) Now in the Module select INVAL B.
3) The Go to Table V_T539J , here you maintain your Wage type with module PRZNT or SUMME then give your wage type and also the base wage type on which the calculation has to happen and at last you have to maintain percentage.
Now in infotype 0008 the above created wage type will automatically cal on the percentage of the base wage type and give you the correct value.

Hi Prasad,
If it is applicable to all groups of employees, then you should maintain V_511_B (ES & PS grouping)
Maintain '1' for all ES & PS groupings in this table for your wage type.
Also we have Pay scale groups & Pay scale levels. You haven't mentuioned your country payroll.
All the wage types will be based on the configuration set up ie. based on the grouping for wage types.
