Hi all,
to better understand the transfer request I would like to understand what happens in the background/foreground and what are all the steps to follow to avoid transfer errors. I use se01 to release the request and stms to import.
How do data move from one system to another?
What happens in the steps in the development system? for example when I release the request.
What happens in the steps in the test system?
What happens in the steps in the production system?
An image or a step by step explanation will be great.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Maria,
In sap system ,
if we consider about R3 system , in 3 system sap landscape DEV, QAS and PRD
Three system will share same transport direcotry at os level (most case)
Development happens in DEV sytsem and once user releasd the Transport Request , At os level it will create data file and cofile .
data file content : data which exterted from DEV system
cofile content : atribute of data an dcommand for TR.
there is import queue in QAS ssyetm and PRD sysetm it will be updated automatciaaly .
