Enter the valid Doc type

Hi,

When i create a sales order ,i get the error message

1)I have checked sales Doc type to Sales area assignment

2)Also Number Range

Kindly advise me

If I'm not mistaken this error "Enter the Valid Doc type" has error number 88 248(which you can find on double clicking on error msg on status bar).

This error is related to SAP REA which is enabled in SAP SD.

So, probably proper REA document type is missing in the sales order.

You can refer following SCN discussion, to have a feel about REA:

- SAP REA

If that's is not the case, then please double clicking on error msg on status bar and provide us the message no you are getting in the error.

Even if i double click also i could not get the message.

I have copied the OR & created WOR now i could save the document ,but with OR i cannot save the above said error is coming.Kindly advise why becuase i am getting error with OR not with WOR

Dear Pradeep,

Have you checked whether the order type OR is still assigned to the sales area in which you are trying to create the order?

Ideally, when you double click the message number should come.

Please try again and revert back with the message no.

All it have been checked evry thing is ok,the messgae is not opening

Hi,

   Plz can you post the screen shot,some times when the Doc.type is not copied properly you will face this error.

delete and Recopy the Doc.type again until you get list of tables display.

hope you have already checked the OVAZ settings.
