Hi,

We have a large report returning approx 2 million rows.

Data exists but when add report doesn't display in the report.

If put filter on to limit rows displatyed dat ashows.

Is there a parameters which governs if data shows in report when over n rows?

Thanks

Philip,

WebI is an Analysis tool NOT Data Exploration &/or Data Dump tool.  If you need to explorer with anything more than 500,000 records, you should be using Explorer.

WebI is NOT designed to work so many records.

Thanks for advice.

Appreciate that.   Trying to convince users about this as often they want reports with way too many records.

Hi,

Do you mean when yuo add a tab within report.. recors are not displaying?.

There must be a safety belt applied on maximum records. Please check properties in repot level as well as on server level.

Thanks,

Jothi

Hi Philip,

it is what you said, queries that have more than 1M rows return a blank report.

It is assigned to development and waiting for a fix, please liaise with support for timing.

Thanks

PS it happens only on SP06 hence if this is preventing normal reporting you may wish either to reduce the number of returned rows or to not upgrade to SP06 yet.

Hi Philip,

Use the function Numberofrows([Dataprovider/Query name]) under the Data provider category of functions to get the number of rows retrieved from the query, which gives a picture whether data is present on report or not.

If its showing a number then try and create a new report tab to drag and drop objects to see data.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
