CKMLLACHANGE - Accounting Impact

Former Member

I was facing activity price issue (CKMLLA102) in CKMLCP, i resolved by using the CKMLLACHANGE (suggested in Note 361379). The issue is resolved but while performing post closing step after this i am facing issues relating to account determination.

Can any one let me know the accounting impacts of CKMLLACHANGE (consider that impact of WIP also exist in the amount marked "NOT-CONSIDERED" in CKMLLACHANGE)

Prompt response will be appreciated.

Hi Saad

3 months ago I face the same problem. I test carefully the solutions, indeed its better to set a manual "actual cost" = 1  in KBK6 than use the CKMLLACHANGE, if you check your Cost Center, the activity post at plan cost is still in the cost center, i dont know the amount in your case but in my case was lot of money.

In my case, I Ask SAP in order to be pilot company for OSS 1606106, with this OSS, the system allow have activity cost = "0" and consider in ML Close. We test in 2 period end closing and work OK. Why dont you ask SAP? post a message in the Marketplace?

I Attach the documentation of this note, i guess you couldnt see because it wasnt released for all customers.

Arturo.

Symptom

In the standard SAP system, the system issues error message CKMLLA 102 "The

actual price for &1 could not be determined" if no actual price was

determined or if the actual price determined is zero, during the multilevel

price determination for a cost center/activity type or business process.

Other terms

CKMLLA, CKMLCP, CKMLLA102

Reason and Prerequisites

The actual price of zero either cannot be avoided or is actually

intentional. Unlike the standard SAP system, the system is simply supposed

to issue a warning message instead of error message CKMLLA 102. The system

is supposed to proceed as follows with the relevant activity type:

o Alternative 1: The activity type is handled in all currencies or

valuations as if the "Do Not Consider Price" indicator was set. See

Note 872421 for more information about the "Do Not Consider Price"

indicator.

o Alternative 2: In the multilevel price determination, the actual

price zero is supposed to be used in the currency or valuation

affected.

Solution

Implement the attached program corrections. To set message CKMLLA 102 as a

warning message, make an entry in the table CKMLMVADMIN with KKEY

'CKMLLA102' and

or

o KDATA 'IGNORE' if you want the activity type affected to be handled

according to alternative 1

o KDATA 'USE' if you want the activity type affected to be handled

according to alternative 2.

Note the following: If KDATA contains a value other than 'IGNORE' or 'USE',

the system still issues message CKMLLA 102 as an error message.
