Adding Networks in a project via cj20n

Hi,

I am creating a project via cj20n. however i am having problems when adding networks to my project. i can't add a network when i click the network overview button, the fields for the network are greyed out. the network automatically is created when i first create an activity first. i want to be able to create a network then just add activities at the end. what configurations do i need to do for this to work. all field selections for networks are set to input

First let me know you want more then one network in your project structure or only one network in PS structure??

In above post you can customize route causes means one network = PD -1

For More then one network WBS - 2.

I need more than one network. Also I would like to be able to create a network first before creating the activities for that network. Not the other way around. Thanks

Hi Dainiel,

Please do the right click by selecting WBS and go to Create->Network. After that system will automatically move the description field of network which would definitely be enabled and allow you to create a network first.

OR

You can just drag and drop network from the bottom under your WBS

I think earlier you were directly clicking on network overview on the right side of CJ20N by selecting WBS that is why all the fields must had been came as greyed out.

Hi Daniel,

Other way round is to go by CN21 Transaction Code. Just fill up the credentials asked on the first very first page then press Enter and after that give your WBS number as reference under which you want to create your network.

Hi Dainiel,

this is a standard behavior, the fields in the list in SAPLCNPB_M 2010(network overview screen in CJ20N) are defined as output only. They can't be userd to create or change anything.

This was a standard design, and there will be no change for this function in the near future.

You need to use other way to create network in CJ20N with other ways, like drag and drop it directly under certain WBS-element/Project defination, or use right click on WBS-element, or create it in project planning board.

in txn opsa, check the network asst is for PD--1 or  Wbse--2 and do revert
