System configuration for ESS and MSS (ECC 5.0/EP 620)

Hi,

Property Category ITS

ITS Host Name: <server:port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/~transaction=

ITS Path:

When creating IAC iviews, the portal brings up the WebGUI transaction, and not the IAC itself.

WAS Host Name: ????

WAS Path: ?????

I am trying to get the standard MSS iViews to connect to backend ECC 5.0 system. I think I need to set these two parameters. Could someone help me out?

Srinivas, your blog was useful but in my case, ITS is built into the WAS, so the /scripts/wgate is not relevant. Thanks for your reply.

Note that I am trying to achieve the following URL using the config:

http://<server:port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/!?~transaction=se11 (e.g.)

Hi Kuriakose,

How did you resolve the issue?

Guess you were trying to create a Transaction iView.For that the ITS parameters have to be given as already told,but the pre-requisite would be to Web enable the Transaction,by activating the Web GUi.

The values for ITS would be:

ITS host name:<server:port>

ITS path :/sap/BC/GUI/SAP/its

ALong with this you need to give

ITS Protocol :http/https

Your BASIS admin should be able to give you the port numbers.

Siddhartha, when I preview the iView with this config, I get URL

http://<server:port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/pz02 call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

It seems like the ITS Path is not relevant as I put anything in there and it gives the same error message above. Oh well, I will keep trying out all combinations before I get it right.
