IW41 Reason of Variance Change in Logic

Hi Guys,

In IW41 under field
reason there are different kind of reason for variances which were created
during the first implementation. We would like to change one of them so I would
like to see the calculation logic after a particular one  “Deduction – Break”, can anyone help me to see
from were the calculation (deduction) is handled please ?.

Reason for variation is just to input appropriate reasons for the variance between the planned hrs & actual hrs. Here, no calculation has been involved. This reason details is for reporting purpose.

Hi thanks for your reply, so you are saying that there is no calculation done for example one of them is excluding lunch break, this means that if it is selected there is no change in the actual hours but it is there only for reporting.

And sorry for asking in which report can I see this please ? thanks a lot for your help

Check the list of confirmations report in IW47

Yes I checked it but I can confirm that when certain reason were selected there was a change in the  hours. When deduction of break was being selected an X amount was deducted compared to the actual hours. The reason has an effect when selecting them and I would like to change the values for these example from 20 min break I would like to change it to 30 min break

In standard SAP, Reason for Variance doesn't have any effect. As per my guess, you have been using some custom developments to recalculate the hours. Check with your ABAP consultant on that.

SAP Help as well doesn't contain any information about calculation of hours based on this variance.
