Dear Experts,

Today I came with some different requirement.

As shown below on the figure, the Danish translation is there. Also, a MAL Code is there in the same box.

The requirement is that, the MAL code box should appear on the Danish translation box. I did tried to do it but it is happening something like below.

The Danish translation text is not adjusting around MAL Box and it is going behind of it where as requirement is that, text should move around the MAL box as shown above.

and the 2nd part of requirement is that, when the Danish translation is not available then entire Blank Border get skipped or hide.

I know how to Blank Compress the text if no values found but not sure how to Blank Compress the Border Box and MAL code box.

Can anybody guide me here.

Thanking You,

Regards

Amol

Hi Amol.

I hope it is in label.

for your first question -

This is a position functionality (General MS word Functionality).

while selecting the MAL CODE text box,  Drawing Tools > Position

After inserting the Text box, you can drag and drop the box - between the text and you can see the text behaviour. the same not get hided by the text box.

for your second question -

Usage of Blank compression for text boxes -

This is a similar usage of null group like others.

for ex -

<13BNG001 (*:01Z1234567SY(G:1)>

*********Text BOX*******

<01Z1234567SY(G:1)>

*********Text BOX*******

<13ENG001>

Hi Kamal,

Thanks a lot for quick response.

For 1st requirement, I am doing the way you have elaboreated but no success at my end.:-(

How I am doing it...

1) Inserting a 'Text Box' of size 5 X 5

2) Inserting One more Text Box of  1x1 for Mal Code Box.

3) now using that option method, moved the small text box to bigger one but no success. text is going behind small box

4) used Drag and Drop method, where picked up small box and dragged to bigger text box but still same behavior.

if possible, can you do send me the word file on which you have tested and worked at your end. May be in  need to check the text box properties.

Thanking You,

Hi Amol,

just make a trial in MS word. do that as follows.

1. Add some text in the around 6 to 7 lines.

2. Insert text box 1X1 fo MAL code box.

3, Now cover the text and the Mall code box with the bigger text box.

4, Make the bigger one with NO FILL in format shape.

5, while inserting the small box, follow the steps mentioned above Drawing tools > Position

Please keep in mind, you are not positioning the small text box (MAL CODE) in the bigger one. You are just positioning in the Page.

This logic only be used for Labels, as the page size and positions are pre-defined. may not be useful for MSDS templates.

still you are facing issues, drop me an email. i will forward the word doc.

Dear Amol

the first part is easy as it is standard word functionality. PLease refer to microsoft help regarding that as its is standard functionality.

Check may be:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/wrap-text-around-a-picture-HA102479705.aspx

The second part is not so easy: I am not sure if you will succeed here. Therefore my proposal would be. try it step by step.

First option: can you live with a "frame" without border ?

Second:

Can you check this: can you prepare e.g. a table oriented outpput with blank compression (left part text, right part box)?

Quite tricky thing really. Nether had similar demand. As in GHS most companies live with "empty" boxes for "symbol"

Very interesting demand.
