Hi form-members
since a few days i try to establish a crystal report --> InfoSet connection
Infos:
System (installed tools):
client side:
server side:
Here are some questions:
1.) the basis installed the transports to the system (crystal transports and abap transport are the same, right ¿? )
* Open SQL Connectivity transport (K900732.R21 and R900732.R21)
* Info Set Connectivity transport (K900688.r21 and R900688.r21)
* Cluster Definition transport (K900690.r21 and R900690.r21)
* Row-level Security Definition transport (K900689.r21 and R900689.r21)
We did not installed:
* Authentication Helpers transport (K900691.r21 and R900691.r21)
as decribed on page 195 ( http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31SP5/en/SMP/xi31_sp5_bip_sap_inst_en.pdf ) we
Note:
For NetWeaver 7.0.2 or higher, this transport will be provided as part of
NetWeaver.
This transport provides access to the higher performance user list used by
the SAP SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise security plug-in. This enhancement
frees users from having to enter their credentials more than once to access
any of the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise, R3, and BW systems.
because we have actually the SAP-System 7.0.2, is this correct?
2.) So i dont have to install the IntegrationsKit on the Server and Client Side anymore??
3.) My User has SAP_ALL authentication, so i dont need to set the ZSSI --> ZSEGREPORT, right?
4.) I dont see any available SAP Systems in CR, did i must see my SAP connection there?
Did I need further tools to establish the connection , i.e. a new SAP GUI version?!
I would appreciate any help and tipps from you!
Thanx so much!
Best Regards
David
Hi David,
Thanks for such a detailed description of the issue!
If you do not see the SAP systems listed in CR, here's what you need to do:
1) Browse to C:\Users\your user\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common and copy saplogon.ini file
2) Paste this file in C:\Windows
Also, in the Database Expert, do you see SAP drivers? You need to use the "SAP tables, clusters or functions" driver.

The system environment establishes for older versions of Netweaver the path C:\windows, on the latest Windows versions, it is established in C:\Users\your user\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common.
Whatever you have, you should point to the system where the .ini file is allocated (windows environtment variable, where I showed here: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3345312) . That file contains all the RFC connections created in your system.
But before that, you should have created it in your SAP Logon. If not, there's no connection to show in Netweaver, Crystal Reports, etc.
Hope it helps,
PD: I had wished a community supports to me during my thesis.
Heyho Nestor!
thanx for your helpful answers and the trouble to help me!!!
You are one of the good guys
as you can see in my discussion http://scn.sap.com/thread/3372801
I tried to solve the problem with your solution, but now i have also an empty sap logon server list, like in crystal report. How can i establsih a rfc connection in my sap logon?
Normally i can see all of our available systems in the sap logon and we have about 50 Systems...
When i delete the generated system variable in the windows configuration, i can see the systems in my sap logon...
Best Regards
David
Hi Ingo,
thanx for your answer!!!
If I searching via windows, i only get one ini.file at the path c:\windows
lets take a look at the specified discussion for my problem

Thank you so much!

Hey Ingo,
thanx!
yes, i did found the ini-file in hidden folders in the system-path appdata sap/common.
So i have two ini-files on my system. Actually i specified the environment variable to the common-folder, but both lists are empty (sap logon and crystal report)
can you please have a look at my specified discussion regarding this problem?!
