SAP BPC 10.0 MS member recognition

Hi,

I have an issue with member recognition.

I have a model with dimensions and member with same description (id is different).

Example :

Dimension 1 : A-Entity

ID : TOT_E

Description : Total Entity

Dimension 2 : B-Partner

ID : P_TOT_E

Description : Total Entity

When creating report with member recognition, writting "total entity" give me only the member in dimension 2 whereas I should have 2 results. How can i fix this problem ?

Hi Edouard,

Members descriptions in BPC are also a kind of identifier, albeit not as "strong" as the id. (For example, you can write an EPM formula pointing at the description: =EPMMemberProperty(;"My description";"Id") ). To avoid this kind of problems, I suggest you change one of the descriptions slightly to make them differ.
