Hi Experts,

I am facing new Problem .

I was trying to retreive new column access for Candidate Shortlist for which we need to customise with

BADI : ERC_TRXLIST_CDCYL  . So i performed all the necessary steps .

Then i realised that one of the prerequisite is that SP level should be SP06 .

I am having SP4 .

Problem,  i am facing after this is that I am not able to view Candidates which were in Applicaton entry, preselection..... all phase .

It is mentioned in tabs like :

Preselection(2) , Offerphase(3), ALL(5) , to be hired (3) etc etc .

But i am not able to view them which i was before .

Now if i applied as an external candidate, i am able to view that candidate but Directly in PRESELECTION PHASE,

Not in Application Phase which was happening before .

I have Deleted BADI :ERC_TRXLIST_CDCYL and include : CI_S_CDCYL already . But results are same .

Pls provide your opininons .

Hey Guys,

Actully, i forgot to run Report 'RCF_DBDCYCL_INDEXING' . Thats why i faced that problem .

But one Problem remains same , "Now if i applied as an external candidate, i am able to view that candidate but Directly in PRESELECTION PHASE " . 

Why it is happening, bcz in standard when Candidate Apply to job posting, it should directly comes under Application Phase which was happening before . But now it is directly moving applicant to 'Preselection Phase' with Activity Type :'0200' as planned  .

I know there is some silly thing m missing, but not getting it .

So, pls help me to sort out this problem .

Hi Pankaj,

It depends on the activities created once a candidate applies for example. If eg. activity 0200 is assigned to process 2, then you will see this candidacy in tab 2. If you assign it to process 1, it will be shown in tab 1.

Hi Nicole,

Yes u r right .

But problem is different .

Ex :  A candidate applied to a job posting .

So when recruiter go at his Dashboard and check application, there should be an entry in :

Application Entry    Preselection                Selection      and so on .....

  1                                0                                    0                                                 

which was happening before ....

Now , it is working like , as candidate apply to a job  and recruiter checks its dashboard :

Application Entry          Preselection                   Selection

          0                                 1                                   0          

So, it is skipping application entry Process .

Why this is happening .

And one more thing NICOLE , I posted a thread regarding Restricted Recruiter(UWL), where u replied .I am not able to reply there as it is throwing error, Unauthorised access .

Hi Pankaj,

Can u please tell me which activties are getting created for these candidates ?

Check the Application details in table HR5135.. and try to find linkage of ND with Activity Type.

If activity type 0200 and 0070 both are in Preselection process, then u have to delete from there and add in Application entry. (As suggested by Nicole also).

It is about EHP5 , i am on EHP4 .

So there is no node in Tech Sett-> Workflows-> Automatically direct Candidacy to process .

Well, in EHP4 from where it is controlled ?

And is there anything in standard from where we can distinguish that this activity belongs to this category, i mean is there any list that for "Application Entry phase : these are the activities",   and so on .

Hi Punit,

I registered as External applicant and apply to a job posting, and i am getting entry direct in PRESELECTION PROCESS instead of APPLICATION ENTRY PROCESS .

As u said, i checked in table HRP5135,

i got 3 entries :

otyp   objid               act_type  due_date       sob_id          Act_proc   creator

ND    50026335          200       13.6.2013      WF-batch       2             wf-batch

ND    50026335           70         13.6.2013     wf-batch        blank        wf-batch

NE    50026336           10          13.6.2013     wf-batch         1             wf-batch

These are the details .

But for activity 070 - "act_proc" is blank in this table .

Can u assign Activity Type 200 and 0070 in process 1 and then check whether it is working fine or not ?

Hi Pankja,

I reported the error.

About the process in EhP4: it gets it from the last activity created. As activity 0200 is assigned to process 2 it goes to process 2.

Yes that works out . Thanx alot .

I am having doubt in Activities .

For Eg : We have activity, reimburse travel expenses with type Simple activity.

As in this Simple activity , there is nothing, just write a note and done .

So, what is the use of this simple activity type, what should it do,

like resciend offer, Propose as alternative candidate , agree terms and conditions of employement .

Actully all these activitites were stated as Simple .

But i am not getting their use .

So, please let me know the importance of this Category type .

Hi Pankaj,

It's activities recruiter has to perform but you need to track them. So that later you can eg. say why this decisiton was made (reject or hire).

Hi nicole,

Is it like that ?

Candidate ABC ,

For him recruiter gonna perform activity, lets say -> Reimburse Travel Expenses .

So recruiter gonna write only , like " We have to reimburse him $30 as his travel expenses ." , just for recruiter knowledge .

Thats it .

So, there is no relation of this activity with Finanace department , right ...

Ok, if there is need to send letter via this Activity, then is it possible to change it by changing its category type to "CORRESPONDENCE "  ?

I got it (because its recruiter activity)but just for more clarity, if  i change it then will it behave like correspondence activity ?

Hi Pankaj,

No, there is no exchange done in simple activities. It is more an information activity, yes.

Simple Correspondences must have templates assigned and need a little bit more customizing:
