Hi All,
I am having a problem where when I save a webi report in excel format the header and body text will shrink to fit the column size in excel. If in webi auto height and width is checked off the field would expand that works but sometimes we dont need the columns fully expanded.
I am using BO 4.0 FP3 and have Excel 2007.
Where can I change that option if possible?
Thanks

Hi Kartik,
Have you tried using the 'Wrap Text' Functionality?
Also try choosing the option "Prioritize the formatting of the documents" in Webi Preferences.
Please follow the below steps to achieve this:
Log into BI Launch Pad
1. In the "Header" panel, click Preferences.
2. Click Web Intelligence.
3. Under "Select a priority for saving to MS Excel":
Choose Prioritize the formatting of the documents to display the data in a format that is similar
to working in Web Intelligence.
4. Click Save and Close.
Hope it will help!

Yuvraj Singh

Hi Kathik,
Do you the same issue happening from Rich client as well?
Do you see the same issue with Export to Excel option as well from Launchpad or is it specific to Excel 2007?
Is the issue consistent across web documents?
I think "Prioritize the formatting of the documents" should help, if not test the above options mentioned to ensure if its something to do with environment and also to keep some temporary alternatives if its working fine from rich client or with export to Excel option. I have seen a few excel related issues being reported and fixed in BI 4.0 at different SP and FP levels. So I would suggest you to refer to fixed issues guide of latest version available at below URL to see if you find the issue on similar as you are facing.
Thanks
Mallik
