CCMS Monitoring: Problem with the Assignment of central autoreactions

Former Member

Hi Experts,

we are faced with a serious problem concerning the SAP CCMS Monitoring. We have a SAP Solution Manager System (=CEN) and want to Monitor a

Satellitesystem by using central autoreaction methods. therefore we already conducted several Settings:

CEN:

- In the RZ21 we added the Satellite System  by using the wizzard within the rz21 [Technical Infrastructure] -> [Configure Central System] ->

[Create remote monitoring entry]. Therefore we entered the Instance Type as ABAP and entered the correct CSMREG User, Clients and also the User  of the Operationg System to call the webservice and to register the sapstartsrv agent

- The RFC connections <SID>_RZ20_ANALYZE (uses the current user and goes to client 100 of the satellite system) and <SID>_RZ20_COLLECT (with  CCMSREG User --> goes to client 100 of the satellite system)

- The Dispatching with the Jobs  SAP_CCMS_CENSYS_DISPATCHER and SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP ist active within the CEN:000

- The Assigning of the autoreaction methods within the RZ21 (CEN:000) seems to be succesfull, as the assignment ist listed after the activity.

But within the Satellitesystem we can't see the Assignment in the MTE, when we open it within the RZ20

So, where might be the problem? Can you give me some advices for some possible trace approaches, or something else?

Please help me, it is really urgent. Many thanks in advance

BTW: When I try it in a different System Landscape (uses the sapccm4x Agent and not the sapstartsrv) the assignment works fine

Hello Christian,

To get the central autoreaction working, the connection test to the sapccm4x agent have to work, and the agent must be reported as 100% available in the selfmonitoring in

RZ20   > SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors
            > Selfmonitoring CCMS Agents

Central auto-reaction methods can be created by using the transaction
function "RZ21>Technical Infrastructure>Configure Central System>Assign Central Auto-reactions"

Central auto-reaction method can only be used for monitoring nodes which are managed by a SAPCCM4X or SAPCCMSR agent. The central auto-reaction methods cannot be used for monitor nodes which are located on the central monitor system.

Please have a look at in SAP notes and online dokumentation:
