Client export - import from PRD to DEV server

Hi All,

We have 3 servers : DEV , QAS and PRD.

In DEV server, we have two clients : 200 (for Customizing) and 300 ( for testing).

Now I want to update DEV - 300 client same as PRD for testing purpose.

1. Is it possible through EXPORT - IMPORT directly from PRD to DEV ?

2. If I use SAP_ALL profile ,does all data come in DEV same as PRD?

3. Does Export-Import effect my DEV 200 client also ( I do not want any change in DEV-200 client), if yes then what I have to do so that it doesn't affect 200 client?

Hi Yogesh,

Just to extend Kartik's response:

All cross client data in DEV will remain intact. It will not be overwritten by client export and import using SAP_ALL profile.

Hi Yogesh,

1. Yes it's possible you can export from PRD server and import in DEV client 300 directly

2. Yes it will be replaced by the data's from PRD system(including user, role, business data, customizing)

3. No, all the business data, customizing, users and roles are client specific - so it will not replace anyting in the client 200 of DEV system
