Hi,

We recently migrated our BW System from SAP Netweaver 7.4 (Oracle) to SAP BW 7.5 on HANA. We are receiving the error "InfoObject 0INFOPROV is not a technical InfoObject and cannot be edited" when we try to check any of its properties in SAP HANA Studio BW Modeling Perspective.

Would appreciate if someone can help in this regard.

Kind Regards

Mohsin

which SP are you on? this works just fine on SP05...

how are you checking these properties? maybe you're doing something wrong there?

Actually its not an issue with all the characteristics/infoproviders. Its an issue with only a few of them. For example in attached screenshot, the properties of "0INFOPROV" (Left) are not editable but the same are editable for the "0OI_EBELN" right.

ok, now I see... you're trying to modify the properties

that's not working here either (we're on BW7.5 SP05)

but, you can have a look at the following OSS note 2395813 - InfoObjects from technical content cannot be modified

(it basically comes down to installing SP07 or implement the note)

Thanks Raf. We implemented this note and probelm is resolved.

Hi,

from SAP BW on HANA 7.50 SP04 onwards, you cannot use anymore Transaction RSD1 to edit any InfoObjects anymore. YOu should use the BW Modeling Tools instead - SAP First Guidance – Implementing BW-MT as the new SAP BW Modeling Experience

Best Regards Roland Kramer, PM SAP EDW

We are using BW-MT to edit InfoObjects properties. We can edit the properties of other infoobjects except 0INFOPROV. Does it have to do anything with "Authorization-Relevant" property?
