Only User View Manager in MI

Former Member

Hey Everyone,

I'm running MI Client version MI 25 SP 09 Patch 00 Build 200409101427 and WebAS 6.40 SP10.

In the MI client only the link 'User View Manager' is available. How do I make the other links (Bus. Partners, Order Management, ...) available?

When I execute http://localhost:4444/MAM/start.jsp on the client, I can actualy see that the orders are downloaded to the MI client. (The orders are displayed in a scrambled format.)

MEREP_MON is showing that records are being transfered. In the log of MEREP_MON this message is displayed : "No download data from R/3 found in downloader. Downloader ended successfully (Mobile ID: 0000000043, SyncBO: MAM25_095)"

Is this due to the back-end customizing or something else?

Any help is appriciated.

Cheers,

Tom

Some more info: When I call http://localhost:4444/MAM/start.jsp on my local device (laptop) and select the values from the drop-down, I get results for these SyncBo's:

001 - Order and operation - MAM25_001 : data displayed.

010 - Notfication - MAM25_010 : data displayed.

050 - Partner/Contract - MAM25_050: data displayed.

031 - Equipment - MAM25_031 : data displayed.

016 - Catalog + Code Groups : data displayed

017 - Codes for Code Group : data displayed

090 - User Customizing - MAM25_090 : SyncBO instances:0 Total (TOP + ITEMs): 0 [= Worklist Monitor's Rec.No.?]

095 - General Customizing - MAM25_095 : SyncBO instances:0 Total (TOP + ITEMs): 0 [= Worklist Monitor's Rec.No.?]

Currently 030 Functional location, 041 Measurement Point, 070 Material Inventory are not in use.

Why are MAM25_090 and MAM25_095 not displaying any data?

Cheers,

Tom

I've been trying to get the MAM25 working on MI25 currently and I have the same problem as is mentioned at the begining of this thread.

I have a problem with doing replicaton of the MAM25_090 syncbo also which I think is part of the problem. When I try to run merep_ex_replic on MAM25_090 I get the error message : E MEREP_01 185 : No user assignment found for MAM scenarios. This is required as per page 24 of the MAM 25 Configuration guide. All the other Sync BO's have replicated with no problems.

I have begun working through the smart sync trouble shooting guide and having gotten to step 2 on page 33 (running merep_mon with the Mobile ID) I can't get any further as I get the warning "No worklist found" when I try to execute.

Would anyone have any ideas?

I'm running an IDES backed which was previously configured to work with a was620 and MAM20. I have built up a was 640.

Hi Niall:

In your Backend, in SPRO>>>Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>>Maintenance & Service Processing>>>Mobile Asset Managment>>Configure User Dependent Data

Verify if you have the MAM Scenario assigned to the User ID you are using. If that is set correctly then you may have to verify the MAM Scenario you have defined under "Define Scenario" and then verify the Assignment Profile attached to the MAM Scenario and make sure under "Assign Orders and Stocks to a Technician",the Order/Notification/Stock Assignment is assigned to "User >>>Employee Number" OR if it is anything other than this, then you have to make sure your User is assigned to the Work Center OR to the Planner Group based on the Assignment you have done.

Let me know your findings.

Hi Niall,

This is a different problem. on the backend, in the mama customzing, make sure to assign the the user to a scenario using customizing. You can run transaction code ALM_ME_USER.

Hope this helps

Thanks for all your suggestions.

It looks to have been something to do with using the wrong client (000) as opposed to the copied client (800) when running the MEREP_EX_REPLIC command. The Was640 is using client 000 while the IDES is using client 800.

So I now how have the app (MAM25) displaying the intro page correctly (more than just user view) but no data appears to have synced down. As far as I can tell the backend customising is correct as it still works with the older ME2.1 and MAM2.0 but only for certain users I'm told. I have checked the users and they seem to be setup correctly.

Hi Niall

If your still in a installation setup, you could reinstall the MI and then redeploy MAM. It's lame, but it worked for me, but please don't ask me to explain why

Also of cource check the func modules alm_me* to se id data is prepared - you prop already done that

Hi Tom,

For what I see, you will need to upgrade you MI 2.5 to at least sp11. Also not that there are MI patches to deploy as well.

hope this helps

Hi Tom

Maybe this will help

Does your RFC point to the right client?

If you have a develop client and a q client, is your cust in sync? Especially the variants!

Hi Tom,

Did you verify that the MAM25_095 data had been replicated as well? This is the scenario customizing data, so it tells the application which links to display. You can also check transaction MEREP_MON to see that the data is being downloaded correctly.

You can try changing information in your customizing, and replicating again. Verify that the new data has been replicated, and check the log (MEREP_LOG) to verify that there were no errors during replication of MAM25_090 and MAM25_095.

Best regards,

Jill

Hi Niall,

The Smart Sync Troubleshooting Guide is available for SP12. However, the Smart Sync concepts apply regardless of the SP, so it's useful for SP13 as well.

Thanks Jill.

Having had a quick read through I can see its mostly applicable apart from some bits to do with the property file (its not editable outside of the j2ee visual administrator in sp13 now I think).

I am having a similar problem with regard to the mam25 application in that I only get the user view manager. I think this may have something to do with the fact that the backend IDES server is not currently updated to plugin 2004.1 yet due to some issues with it. I am uncertain this is the problem though.

Hopefully the guide will point me in the right direction.

Thanks for pointing out the Troubleshooting Guide, it has been very usefull.

I checked if the customizing is transfered to the middleware using transaction SE16 displaying contents of table MEREP_207. This table (with scenario : MAM25_090, struct_id : TOP) contains a record for my user.

But still, the MAM application is not displaying on the client.

Hi Tom,

If you've checked the getlist and getdetail for MAM25_090 and MAM25_095 for all users and scenarios and the function modules do not return any errors, then you should verify that the data has been replicated to the middleware correctly. All of this is described in detail in the Smart Sync Troubleshooting Guide that I provided a link to above. Please take a look at the section I mentioned above. It walks you through this issue step by step in detail, including screen shots.

Could I ask where might I find the Smart Synchronization Troubleshooting Guide for SP13 if there is one? The one that was linked was for SP12. I can't even find the SP12 guide in the service marketplace!

Thanks for the link in any case it could prove very handy.

Hi Tom,

You probably have an error in your customizing data. The Smart Synchronization Troubleshooting Guide tells you how to solve this problem: http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700003117292005D/MISmartSyncTroubleshoot.pdf Take a look at section 3.1.5.

Thanks, Jill

I'm currently looking at the function modules alm_merep_095_getList, alm_merep_095_getDetail, alm_merep_90_getdetail, alm_merep_90_getList.

I tested all function modules.

MAM_SCENARIO_LIST, MAM_SCENARIO_HEADER, CUSTOMIZED_USERS, USER_CUSTOMIZING_HEADER all give correct entries.

So the customizing is correct, i think.
