Multi connexion with an unique account on SAP R3 ?

Hello everybody,

I begin a new mission in AS (Application Support) and my new colleagues tell me they take a lot of delay because they have only one account SAP R3 (For example PGI).

My question :

I worked on SAP BW and in order to connect many users simultaneously, i used to connect them via Browser 3.X SAP BW.

So dear colleagues, do you know if a similar browser for SAP R3 exists ? In this way, i will be able to connect all my team even we have only one account...

Many thanks in advance for your return.

Kevin L.

It is a bit contradictory to be doing application support, but then logging on to the OS as sys-id owner and DB and schema-owner...

You can use application tools with granular access control for that. No need to bypass the application, particularly it you are meant to support it...

Cheers,

Julius

Hello,

Even if we support application, the  SAP user creation is not within our responsability.. but i agree with you : it's a bit contradictory ! we lose many times to resolve incidents ...

Thank you for your answer, could you give me the name of application tool ?

I am assuming that by "R3" access you are meaning the OS and DB. You can do a lot from the application from Sm69 an BDCOCKPIT.

But perhaps we are not on the same code page here and you actually have an application account for SU01 access which is shared? (e.g. DDIC?).

Cheers,

Julius
