Hello,
We have started test upgrade of our DEV SOLMAN system (701) to 7.1 using the latest SUM SP07 tool.
After starting the tool and some initial inputs the tool goes to a page where it shows the upgrade road map paths and in that screen we are seeing only JAVA monitor and not ABAP monitor (screen shot attached)
Has anyone seen this kind of behavior, I have no idea what is wrong.
We have followed all pre-reqs as per the guide..FYI
Please provide your valuable inputs and suggestions.
Thanks.
Regards,
Yoganand.V
As I anticipated, the Issue resolved after using stack.xml(generated thru mopz)

Hi Yoganand,
Which phase you are in currently? It does take time to show ABAP screen.

Hi,
Even I am stuck in same situation completely perplexed by this behaviour, but I am using manually prepared directory without stack.xml.. I am not sure is this a cause for this.
Now I am not sure whether to continue or not.
Any valuable suggestion would be appreciated.
I am using SUM SP07 to update SOLMAN7.1 from ISS to SPS8
Thanks,
Harsha
hi,
strange.. may i ask, whether other steps detect your abap instance during extraction step, it shows correct target as sm7.1 s t?
Any importance clue from logs, or any logs updated for ABAP instance.
other case, have you controlled the view of abap monitor yourself using menu options.
please check the sap note Note 1401712 - JSPM/SAPJup/SAPehpi/SUM cannot detect all cluster instances
Thanks
Jansi

Hello Jansi Rani,
Thanks for replying back.
Please find the logs below proving that SUM detected the system as DUAL stack.
But I cannot see ABAP related stuff anywhere in the logs, only JAVA comps are loaded and even queue is calculated for JAVA components.
I have not controlled any menu options, I'm just starting the tool and going as per the dialogue I get.
If you have any clue please post and help.
Thanks.
