Problem in executing program RSVIMT_UC_VIEW_MAINT_GEN

Hi All,

When I ran UCCHECK for some ZVIEWS, it picked up some

table maintenance generator programs and views gave a message indication

that the generated code for these Views was not Unicode compliant

and to run SAP program RSVIMT_UC_VIEW_MAINT_GEN.

But i did not run this Program...instead just checked Unicode switch manually.

Then the view disappear from UCCHECK.

My question is is it necessary to run the program(RSVIMT_UC_VIEW_MAINT_GEN).

If so, now whether can i run the program(RSVIMT_UC_VIEW_MAINT_GEN)  again for the views which I checked Unicode switch manually.

And also one more thing I found that

I am trying to regenerate the views which I already checked the unicode by executing the program (RSVIMT_UC_VIEW_MAINT_GEN) by giving the Package, Function group of the views and request number in the initial screen and execute then nothing is displayed in the next screen under the Generatable and transportable tab .

Can I know what is the reason...

Any one help me on this.

Read first documentation like Converting Generated Table Maintenance Dialogs to Unicode  I personnaly never did what you do, I am undoubtedly notcreative enough

What I could suiggest for view you manually flagged as Unicode, I going thru SE54 to regenerate, as there is much chance that the program is not any longer able to identify those view after your actions.

I went to SE54 and trying to regenerate the view..

In the POP UP ---Group specific subprograms which are the check boxes i need to check.

I am new to this concept.

Can you please explain.

Choose the Change pushbutton. (Regenerate Maintenance Dialog)

• Choose the Edit Function Group pushbutton in the initial screen.
• Enter the name of the function group in the field if it is not already displayed.
• Set the Regenerate Group-Spec. Programs flag.
• Set the Renew Structure-Specific Form Routines flag in the following screen.
