SAP customer Master

Dear Gurus,

i came across a situation wherein i could not see the Partner function Tab in display mode of CMR (XD03). But, I could find the Partner function tab in change mode (XD02) for the same customer with all the other parameters being same.

Can you explain why this is happening.
