Hello Experts,
Apologies if this sounds too elementary
I'm facing an issue with conditional formatting, they are working but its not wholesome! few case works few not.
Few months data for margin shows red background if margin=0 but not the case for other months.
Is below good to be working?
Thanks,
Vinay
I think for the Red condition should be Margin between 30 and 40 instead of just greater than 30.

Hi Vinay,
Did you try using Margin>=0 and Margin<=40 to be more precise with the border line values inclusion and see if it works?
Also try building a variable using the same condition that you use in formatting rule and place it in the block next to column with required conditional formatting to see if the condition is returning the value as expected which would turn the formatting to Red for the "0" value case.
Thanks

Hi Vinay,
Kindly post screenshot of the issue.
Do you have 0 as value for some month and Null values(empty cell -> no entry in backend) for some month? If this is the case, there is a bug. Please refer OSS Message:
Formatting Problem in Null cells-BW Hier ( 93897 / 2013 )
Thanks,
Parthiban
Hi Parthiban,
I have null values for few of the months, i did another round of unit testing & found the null values have no effect of conditional rule. However i'm moving this report to quality systems, believing there will be good data in Q atleast no null values
Thank you so much for the catch..
Rgds,
Vinay
