CE_CONVERSION and repository tables

Former Member

Hi,

does anyone know, how to use CE_CONVERSION in combination with tables created by the repository?

We are trying to move everything to the repository instead of creating things by executing SQL.

The problem here is, that these tables get a prefix to the table name, so that CE_CONVERSION does not find them.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Regards

Thomas

Hi Thomas

Could you please try by creating the synonyms for tables by removing the prefix. ? Not sure this will fix it, but just give a try.

Hi Prashanth,

Many thanks for your answer!

After posting here I did go on trying a bit and also had this idea.

It works fine at runtime but not at activation.

This means for activating the procedure I had to create "dummy" tables via sql, because the validator ignored the synonyms.

After activation I deleted the "dummy" tables again and created synonyms on the real (repository) tables and the procedure still worked.

But this seem so be a strange workaround for me and it's not nice for development!

Hi Thomas

Agree that this workaround is a bit strange.

Let me also try and will let know if get anything.

Thanks

Prashanth
