Hi BPC Friends
I run the copy package to copy the values from one account to another account and I have selected the option merge because I didn't want to clear the value of the destination account but I want to add to the value of the destination account, the value of the source account.
I discovered unfortunately that for example if:
source account = 10 and
destination account=20 the
result was destination account=10
instead of 30.
What was wrong?
thanks
Michele
Hi Michele,
Merge doesn't mean BPC will sum up the source and the destination.
Merge only means that it will not clear out values if the record does not exist in the source.
But if a record already exists, then it will overwrite the value.
In your scenario you could copy the values into a different data source so that your create a delta.
Cheers
Sabine
