BI Launchpad Internet Explorer 9 issue

Former Member

Hello,

I have an issue using BI Launchpad and Internet Explorer 9.0.

System is up-to-date (BI 4.0 SP6). We are coming SP4 - where we didn't have these problems. We configured SSO which is and was working.

Some users aren't able to login via BI Launchpad, they'll receive following screen. They should be logged in automatically (SSO) but instead they'll see following broken screen via Internet Explorer 9:

The same happens if I try to use the BI Launchpad with an user which is not available in BI and Internet Explorer 9. If I use Chrome instead of Internet Explorer, I'll get following screen - which is correct:

Any ideas or anyone having the same issues? I stopped / re-startet servers and the whole system.

Thanks!!!

Christian

What does the error says? Are you running IE 9.0 in compatible view mode? Standard mode is not supported for SP4 or SP5.

Please use IE 9, 32 bit version and in compatibility mode.

Add URL into trusted sites.

If that doesnt work either refer KB articles.

1292826 - Error: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

1734409 - Error: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Hope that helps.

Hi Sohel,

I'm using the 32Bit IE and compatibility mode.

Checked OSS Notes:

1292826 is for Xi 3.x (no Connector tag in server.xml in SAP BO 4.x)

and 1734409 is not available right now.

Thanks!

do not use compatibility mode, see if things improve.

I think comp. mode is no longer supported.

Hey all,

just wanted to share. Note:

solved the problem. The cause (missing entries in server.xml) was the same, where the system environment was different. We installed a SAP VBO 4.0 SP6 System right from scratch.
