SAP NW 7.3 installation on RHEL6

Hi All,

I am trying the install SAP NW 7.3 PI (ABAP+JAVA) on RHEL6.  I have downloaded all the packages for NW 7.3 from SAP download workplace site.

While selecting the Kernel, I am providing the the path of the Kernel I have downloaded as part of NW 7.3 packages (including SWPM and Kernel).  But it is expecting the the kernel with label "SAP:AKK:UKERNEL:*Linux_X86_64", whereas I have with label "

SAP:AKK:720:DVD_KERNEL:SAP Kernel 720:Dxxxxxxxx:*:D51045930" and it is not allowing me to proceed further.

Can anyone please help me in resolving this issue.

Hi Sanjeev,

You need to provide path of Kernel DVD only and not upto LABEL.ASC.

In NW73 the kernel is included on the Installation/Upgrade Master DVD.

Kernel with NW 7.3, but not able to proceed with this (giving the same error)

Hi Sanjeev,

Have you downloaded '720 UC Kernel for SWPM SP02 - Linux on x86_64 64bit' from the below path?

Installations and Upgrades - N -> SAP NETWEAVER -> SAP NETWEAVER 7.3 -> Kernel for installation/SWPM -> SAP KERNEL 7.20 64-BIT UNICODE -> Linux

Hi Anita,

I have downloaded the SWPM Kernel and providing the path for the same.

I tried the Master Kernel with NW 7.3 "

51044252_22

NW 7.3 Kernel, Inst.Master, Upgr.Master Linux x86_64

But with this also it is giving the same error "Not able to find the NW72 kernel"
