Hi Buddies,

i came back after long time, with a new requirements,

How can i trace employee movement in the field, i.e. my Marketing Rep went for customer meeting, i want to trace that movement with help of in the SAP COD, where he is using smartPhone or Tab.

is it possible, if yes how can i trace.

Hi Ramesh,

Tracking employee posiiton via GPS in tablet or mobile phone is not currently a feature of SAP Customer for Cloud (the solution formerly known as SAP Customer OnDemand). This feature is not on the roadmap.

However there is a check-in /check-out feature in planning but this only covers the timestamp and does not verify location. A GPS location for check-in may be developed at a later stage.

As to the legality question, this would have to be clarified depending on the laws of your country.

Hi Ramesh,

A very interesting question which I have put it to my CoD colleagues. However I think there might be legal questions here concerning whether this would be possible in a business setting. I will get back to you.
