Load Excel to BW and send through mail.

Hello Experts,

The new requirement is like this,

We want to upload the one excel template format in BW. The excel contains some data, formula and all.
After uploading into BW,We are planning to pull that excel by some program and edit some data and the same will be sent through mail.

Please suggest, if there is away for this.

Hi,

You can upload excel by using Flat File datasource in a.csv format. This will get the data what you entered in the Excel.

After uploading into BW,We are planning to pull that excel by some program and edit some data and the same will be sent through mail.

Do you want to pull it from the Infoprovider to which you have loaded through Flat File? You have to upload this data to another infoprovider. You have to edit the data in a Start/end routine only. You cannot do manual editing in BW other than at PSA level.

From this new infoprovider, make a query and broadcast it through mails.

Hi,

Not sure on formulas directly uploading, But I think formula is one of the column right? then usually doing this in file datasource. Once loaded then by open hub object we can generate/pull the file wherever we want. Then manually you are sending file right?Other wise by broad cast settings in bex will send the sheet.

Hi Sanjana,

Excel data you can load into bw by using flat file loading in CSV format. you can develop bex report on this data target and you can do required manipulations if possible at bex. once you got output as you need in excel. thru bex options you can send mail to requires users.
