Automatic Archiving of Event Handlers

Functionality

This function module enables you to automatically archive event handlers. The event handler GUID and the date when the event handler is to be archived are inserted into table /SAPTRX/ARCH_EH. The number of days after which the event handler can be archived is specified in the transaction for defining residence times. ->Transaction /SAPTRX/RESTM

  • Parameter 1: Enter the name of the auto archive parameter defined for event handlers in the Customizing transaction mentioned above.

The event handlers are archived using report /SAPTRX/AUTO_ARCHIVE_A0. This report archives all entries whose archive date is either the day the report is run or earlier.

Example

You want to archive event handlers 30 days after an event has occurred. You use this function module in your rule set and schedule report SAPTRX/AUTO_ARCHIVE_A0.

Notes

The event handler must be inactive.

Event handler archiving does not work in simulation mode.

Parameters

I_EAI
E_RETURN_CODE

Exceptions

Function Group

/SAPTRX/AUTO_ARCH

But keep in mind that this functionality is only recommended for lower data volumes. How many EH are creatiung per day/month/year?

Best regards,
