How to maintian the securities in BPC

Hi,

    We have maintianed the securities in the BPC DEV system for some of the users,but while moving the objects to the QAS system we are not having the same user IDs in the QAS system and we are not able to assign the Data acess profile.

    What is the best practice in maintaining the securities like (Task,profiles, Data acess profile..) in the DEV system and also in the QAS syste,.

Please share the views.

Hi Venkata,

Typically, only the teams, task profiles, and data access profiles are transported without the user assignment. The assignment needs to be done directly in the QA system.

You need to maintain the users' security in each system as user ids dont get transported.

Make sure user ids exists in all the environments where required.

If backed is Netweaver then ask your basis team to create the users on BW side (QA and other systems) and assign necessary BPC roles.

Once they do that, you will be able to add the users on BPC side and can assign the teams/data access profiles etc.

Suggest transport teams and task profiles and then assign user with teams. Not sure whether DAP works well since master data might be different between the systems.
